CPG confection company.
Currently utilize order and shipment history to drive forward looking forecast. We will be introducing consumption based history as an additional array. Looking for information on how to best to calculate the appropriate load lag time.

My colleague (and longtime IBF contributor) Charlie Chase has just published a book that includes a chapter on integrating consumer demand into the demand forecasting process. It is called "Demand-Driven Forecasting: A Structured Approach to Forecasting" and is part of the Wiley & SAS Business Series.
